Transit Ambassadors are volunteers who assist seniors in learning how to understand and use the local transit system. The goal is to help Comox Valley seniors stay independent and connected to friends, shopping and their community!
The CVRD, in partnership with Comox Valley Senior Support, is recruiting new Transit Ambassadors to work with local seniors, take them on a bus trip and help them see how taking the bus could work for them. Volunteers who commit 10 hours or more, per month, will receive a free bus pass for each month they volunteer. Volunteers must be of legal age, have some experience and knowledge of the local transit system, have a working phone, and be willing to have a criminal record check.
