Background:
Watersheds on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, such as the Tsolum River watershed, have limited natural surface water storage and are more susceptible to periods of drought. With expanding residential and agricultural areas and a projected 17% decrease in summertime precipitation by 2050, there are concerns over delicate water supplies in the region. We can all help.
