Lazo Road Closure Sandcliff Drive to Torrence Road

As part of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project, the Comox Valley Regional District announces a necessary road closure of Lazo Road. Lazo Road will be closed from Sandcliff Drive to Torrence Road, local resident access only. Construction is estimated to begin on Monday, April 28, 2025 and last until approximately, June 13, 2025 (MAP 1).

The work will be conducted during the hours of 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. To ensure the safety and convenience of commuters, detour routes will be clearly marked and supported with traffic control personnel.

At the end of each construction working day, the open excavation sections will be fully fenced with temporary steel fencing and all other traffic control devices such as delineators, signage and detour routes will be in place.

Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and to anticipate additional travel time during the closure period. The cooperation and patience of the public are greatly appreciated as we work to enhance the sewer system infrastructure of our community.
