Intersection Closure of Beaufort Avenue and Port Augusta Street Monday, March 17 & Tuesday, March 18

As part of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project, the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) announces a necessary intersection closure of Beaufort Avenue and Port Augusta Street for two days: Monday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 18, 2025 (MAP 1). These works will be conducted during the hours of 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. This shutdown is subject to suitable weather conditions or other possible construction-related delays. Please refer to the project website for updates regarding this closure.

It will not be possible to travel through the intersection during construction. Access will be restricted to local residents and businesses within the construction zone. Residents of 137 Port Augusta, staff of the Harbour Authority, visitors to the Blackfin Pub, and clients for the offices at 1757 Beaufort Avenue are directed to travel via Nordin Street. Visitors to the Comox Marina Park, please use the parking lots accessed via Wilcox Street.

Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and avoid the intersection. Please follow the posted detour signage. Prepare for additional travel time during the closure period.

The continued cooperation and patience of the public is greatly appreciated as we work to enhance the sewer system infrastructure of our community.
