Updated Agricultural Plan Available for Final Review

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD)’s draft Agricultural Plan is now available for review and final feedback from the public.

The Comox Valley Agricultural Plan was first developed in 2001. Over the past two years, the CVRD has focused on engagement with the agriculture community and those involved in the agri-food system to update the plan. The new plan will reflect the current issues impacting local agriculture and identify ways that the Comox Valley Regional District can support and strengthen our region’s agricultural sector now and into the future.

The draft is now ready for final feedback before it’s finalized and launched in the fall of 2024.

“Our current agricultural plan is now over 20 years old and needs to be modernized - this update will set an improved path forward given what farmers in the Comox Valley are experiencing today,” said Lisa Kilpatrick, Community Development and Resilience Manager for the CVRD. “We value the input received to date, and look forward to hearing any final comments from the community.”

Feedback will be collected until 4:30 p.m. on September 30th.
