The CVRD is inviting residents to an open house on Wednesday, August 8 to learn more about the Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Review and what this might mean to them.
The Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Review started in 2016 as a way to review the current zoning within Electoral Areas A, B and C. The key policy themes underlying the review includes:
- Modernize for clarity, interpretation and administration
- Support agriculture and aquaculture
- Support rural living
- Support aging in place
- Enable implementation of sustainability principles through design
- Support rural economic development
As part of the engagement process, the CVRD wants to meet with affected property owners and residents in the region to answer questions regarding the Draft Zoning Bylaw and the proposed changes.
Drop in anytime Wednesday, August 8 from 3:30 until 7:30 pm at the CVRD Boardroom (550 B Comox Road) to learn more.
Unable to attend the open house no problem, questions and comments can be directed to Ton Trieu, Assistant Manager of Planning Services at 250-334-6021.
