Cool Off this Summer at Free Saturday Swims

There will be ample opportunity to cool off this summer as free swimming will be offered Saturday afternoons at the Comox Valley Regional District’s (CVRD) aquatic centre, thanks to the continued sponsorship of Canadian Western Bank.

The free swims will begin on Saturday, July 9 and run consecutive Saturdays until July 30, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome on a first-come, first-served basis, restricted only by pool load capacity. The wave pool, slides, sauna and hot tub will be open, as well as the fitness centre.

“We’re very appreciative of our continued partnership with Canadian Western Bank to bring members of the community to our pool facility that may not have had the chance, and to also thank our regular patrons,” said Jennifer Zbinden, CVRD’s acting senior manager of recreation facilities. . “This is a great opportunity to engage in the benefits of health, wellness and community spirit.”
