The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is lifting all water restrictions previously in place for CVRD managed water systems, effective immediately.
Water restrictions are no longer in place for the Comox Valley Water System, which includes the Town of Comox, City of Courtenay, and the Comox Valley Water Local Service Area. Water restrictions are also lifted for the Black Creek – Oyster Bay (BCOB), Royston and Union Bay Water Local Service areas.
“We really appreciate the effort these communities put into water conservation this year, particularly during such an intense drought season like we experienced,” noted Mike Herschmiller, Manager of Water Services for the CVRD. “It’s great to be able to lift all restrictions for our water systems after such a long, dry summer season.”
Visit www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/restrictions for more information about these water systems and their staged restrictions. Here residents can also download a home watering guide, and learn more about why water restrictions are needed.
The Comox Valley Regional District is a federation of three electoral areas and three municipalities providing sustainable services for residents and visitors to the area. The members of the regional district work collaboratively on services for the benefit of the diverse urban and rural areas of the Comox Valley.
