Comox Valley Water System Stage 3 Extended to September 22

Stage 3 water restrictions for the Comox Valley Water System have been extended to 4:30 pm on September 22. These restrictions were originally scheduled to end today but have been extended due to BC Hydro’s continued maintenance and repair work at the Puntledge River generating station.
HMCS Quadra sewer forcemain project begins again September 11

Construction of the HMCS Quadra sewer forcemain installation and pump station retrofit is set to resume on September 11.
The Comox Valley Water System will move to Stage 3 Water Restrictions beginning Sunday, September 10 at 8 am until Wednesday, September 20 at 4:30 pm. During this time BC Hydro will conduct maintenance and repair work at the Puntledge River generating station. Fish screens will also be cleaned to help redirect salmon back to the river.

On July 6th the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) began its Alternative Approval Process (AAP) for the tax neutral Civic Centre regional office building. The regional office building, currently located within the flood plain, provides essential services (garbage, sewer and water) daily to thousands of residents regionally. To ensure effective service delivery, the CVRD board determined a new regional office building was a strategic priority.
On July 6th the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) began its Alternative Approval Process (AAP) for the tax neutral Civic Centre regional office building. The process will be running until 4:30 pm on August 18, 2017.
