The Comox Valley Regional District’s (CVRD) draft master plan for the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds will be presented to the public at an open house on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the CVRD boardroom, 550B Comox Road in Courtenay.
Everyone is welcome to attend and discuss the future of the exhibition grounds. A 30-minute presentation will be made, followed by 30 minutes for questions and discussion. This presentation will start at 4:15 p.m. and the same presentation will be repeated at 5: 45 p.m., followed by questions and discussion.
The master plan is designed to serve as a guiding document for the CVRD board and staff, and stakeholders, and provide high level strategic direction, identification of priorities, and specific recommendations for implementation. During the past several months a number of interviews and discussions with user groups, stakeholders and other interested parties have been conducted to determine current and future needs. The views of the public were also sought through an online survey and at an initial public open house.
The draft master plan can be viewed at www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/exgrounds. The final report will be presented to the board in April.
The Comox Valley Regional District is a federation of three electoral areas and three municipalities providing sustainable services for residents and visitors to the area. The members of the regional district work collaboratively on services for the benefit of the diverse urban and rural areas of the Comox Valley.
