The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) has smart control irrigation rebates and water leak rebates available to its residents. The CVRD's aim is to help residents be more efficient with water use and to reduce water consumption, which lowers demand for water and lessens wasted water. This, in turn, will keep future infrastructure costs down.
The low flush toilet rebate program has ended. Products that will be included in the 2018 rebate program will be announced on this page soon.
Property owners are eligible for up to a $300 rebate on the purchase of a qualifying smart irrigation controller. The installation of smart control to an irrigation system helps residents use water more efficiently. These controllers provide irrigation only when required according to the weather and other environmental conditions, thereby reducing water use.
Billing adjustments are available for homeowners that experienced a water leak that has consumed an above average amount of water. Once the leak is located and repaired, the homeowner can complete a leak rebate application and submit it to the CVRD for review and calculation.
