Legislative Services

The legislative services department serves as a link between the board of directors, staff and the general public. The department also helps to ensure that the regional district adheres to provincial and federal legislation as well as its own board-adopted bylaws and policies.

The legislative services department is responsible for:

  • Board and committee agendas and minutes
  • Board resolutions
  • Bylaws
  • Elections
  • Freedom of information
  • Meetings – general information (schedules, attending, delegations, etc.)
  • Providing public information (costs)
  • Safeguarding public documents
